Hungary vignette type determines what kind of vignette is available. The valid vignette is a special authorization that must be purchased in order to use Hungarian toll roads.

Vehicle category under 3.5 t
You must obtain a vignette if your vehicle weighs no more than 3.5 t, and you want to drive through toll roads in Hungary. So you need the vignette for the following vehicles categories:
- D1 motor vehicles (scooters, motorcycles, mopeds)
- D1 category (passenger cars for transport of no more than 7 people or motorcycles)
- D2 category (campers and passenger cars with DMC)
- B2 category (buses or vehicles that transport 10 or more people)
- U category (trailers towed by cars).
Vehicles over 3.5 t
The toll for cars weighing more than 3.5 tons can be paid with a device and the Hu-Go-system, which grants road usage authorization for one direction only. You can prepare for the payment by reviewing all the toll road maps for the various categories of vehicles before the trip.
Hungary e-vignette validity
The validity period depends on the picked type. You can choose the annual vignette that has two subcategories: national (authorization that grants use of the toll roads in the whole country) or regional for a certain part of Hungary.
