Vignette Roads in Moldova
Find out which road sections in Moldova require valid vignettes from drivers.
Roads with mandatory usage of a valid vignette
Vignette roads in Moldova are the roads where vignette usage is obligatory. Moldova is the only country where all public roads are considered toll roads. National roads in Moldova have two categories: magistral roads and republican roads.
Magistral roads connect the road networks of neighboring countries – Romania and Ukraine. Republican roads connect places within Moldova and can extend to the border.
Local roads primarily serve to connect district administrative centers and villages/communes within the same district and also to provide a connection between one village/commune and another.
Drivers must purchase a Moldova vignette at one of the border crossing points or online. An electronic vignette can be obtained by filling out a simple online form and covering the fees. A digital vignette confirmation will then be delivered to the email address.

There are no roads in Moldova that fully meet the requirements for Moldovan motorways. The closest is the M3 from Chișinău to Cimișlia.
