About Czech vignette for motorcycles
Although the Czech Republic introduced a mandatory digital vignette to drive on certain toll roads, there is no Czech vignette for motorcycles. Motorcycles are exempt from paying tolls in Czechia. The Czech vignette requirement applies to at least four-wheel vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Therefore, owners of motorcycles do not need to obtain a vignette to drive in the Czech Republic.
You are toll-exempt as long as you drive in the Czech Republic on your motorcycle. However, a vignette will be necessary if you need to travel to Czechia by car or any other four-wheel vehicle with a GVW not exceeding 3.5 t.
Thanks to the cameras located across the country, the Czech Republic can verify the non-toll-exempt vehicles traveling without valid vignettes. Details of the vehicles are stored online, and a driver does not need to hold a physical copy of an active vignette. It is unnecessary to fix it on the vehicle’s windscreen, either. Using Czech highways without a valid vignette (if you are subject to toll) may result in a financial penalty, which is currently up to CZK 20,000.
